Literature Text

And I want you to be happy,
I want you to have fun,
But I can go no further,
So now I'm loading the gun.

But a gun is far too messy,
I'm all but done with hope,
And the mess would cause much trauma,
So I'll be hanging from the rope.

And now I need a gallows tree,
Somewhere to be at Peace,
Somewhere green and quiet,
Where I can finally have release.

And now I've found my gallows tree,
The one I climbed with a friend,
All the time in that lovely place,
And it's there My life shall end.

And why should I end it all,
And go to meet My death?
Because my dear I am My Father,
And I don't deserve life-breath.

That man is all I truly Hate,
He is all I wholly despise,
And I have become what i loathe,
So I must meet My demise.

And now it's almost upon Me,
It's time for My last request,
Bury me in dear Ireland,
With a shamrock on my chest.

That beautiful dear old country,
Of which I've never seen,
Together we could have lived there,
And you could have been my queen.

And I know that you can move on,
A life with someone Better,
Please my dear, don't you cry,
As you read this tearstained letter.
